Getting the right screws and nails

Inside or outside?

Use galvanised, coated or stainless fixings outdoors and with treated timber, so they do not corrode.

Structural fixings

Joist hangers, straps and structural connections need the fixings the connector maker specifies.

How much will you need?

Fixing 20 sheets of plasterboard at about 35 screws a sheet uses 700 drywall screws, or 1 box of 1,000.

Delivering screws and nails in Romford

Boxed fixings travel with the rest of your order. Romford is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• Give us the full postcode for the drop point; deliveries around RM1 are priced to the exact address.
• Pallets left on a pavement can block the footway, so plan a drop point inside your boundary where you can.
• If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.
