How delivery works in Rickmansworth
Boxed fixings travel with the rest of your order. Rickmansworth is inside our standard mainland delivery area.
- Mention any overhead cables, low branches or narrow gateways, because they decide whether a crane offload is possible.
- For a phased build we can split the order so materials arrive as each stage starts, which keeps the site clear.
- In summer Rickmansworth gets around 16h 40m of daylight, but early deliveries still beat the traffic and give the longest working day.
Screws & Nails: choosing well
Inside or outside?
Use galvanised, coated or stainless fixings outdoors and with treated timber, so they do not corrode.
Length
A rule of thumb is a fixing at least two and a half times the thickness of the piece you are fixing.
Sizing your order
Fixing 10 sheets of plasterboard at about 35 screws a sheet uses 350 drywall screws, or 1 box of 1,000.
