Screws & Nails: choosing well

Structural fixings

Joist hangers, straps and structural connections need the fixings the connector maker specifies.

Inside or outside?

Use galvanised, coated or stainless fixings outdoors and with treated timber, so they do not corrode.

Getting screws and nails onto your Hereford site

Boxed fixings travel with the rest of your order. Hereford is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• On busy streets in Hereford, a parking suspension or a quiet time slot can make offloading safer, so tell us about local restrictions you know of.
• If neighbours share the access, it helps to let them know a lorry is coming.
• Keep cement, plaster and boards dry: have a tarpaulin or a garage space ready before they arrive.
