Getting the right screws and nails

Length

A rule of thumb is a fixing at least two and a half times the thickness of the piece you are fixing.

Inside or outside?

Use galvanised, coated or stainless fixings outdoors and with treated timber, so they do not corrode.

How delivery works in Farnborough

Boxed fixings travel with the rest of your order. Farnborough is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• If neighbours share the access, it helps to let them know a lorry is coming.
• Give us the full postcode for the drop point; deliveries around GU14 are priced to the exact address.
• On busy streets in Farnborough, a parking suspension or a quiet time slot can make offloading safer, so tell us about local restrictions you know of.
