Length

A rule of thumb is a fixing at least two and a half times the thickness of the piece you are fixing.

Delivery to Crowborough: what helps

Boxed fixings travel with the rest of your order. Crowborough is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• Give us the full postcode for the drop point; deliveries around TN6 are priced to the exact address.
• If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.
• Deliveries are to the kerb, drive or within crane reach; ask if materials need to go further.

Estimating your screws and nails

Fixing 15 sheets of plasterboard at about 35 screws a sheet uses 525 drywall screws, or 1 box of 1,000.
