Plywood: choosing well

Thickness for floors

18 mm or more is common for floors on joists at 400 mm centres; follow your design.

Structural use

Roof decks and floors need plywood marked for structural use. Check the thickness against the joist spacing.

How much will you need?

Decking 15 m² with 2440 × 1220 mm sheets takes 6 sheets including 10% for cutting.

Before your Wickford delivery arrives

Sheets travel flat on the lorry bed and are hand-offloaded or crane-lifted in packs. Wickford is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• Give us the full postcode for the drop point; deliveries around SS12 are priced to the exact address.
• If neighbours share the access, it helps to let them know a lorry is coming.
• Tell us the best drop point, such as a driveway, front garden or the kerb, and whether a lorry can park close to it.
