Choosing plaster

Fresh stock matters

Old plaster sets fast and unevenly. Order it close to when you need it and keep bags dry.

Undercoat for the background

Hardwall suits high-suction backgrounds like brick and block; bonding suits low-suction backgrounds like concrete or painted surfaces.

Delivery to Dungannon: what helps

Bags come on a pallet or with a mixed load; keep them dry and off the floor. Deliveries to Northern Ireland include a sea crossing, so we quote each order individually.

• For a phased build we can split the order so materials arrive as each stage starts, which keeps the site clear.
• With roughly 7h 16m of daylight in Dungannon around the shortest day, morning deliveries leave more working light for the job.
• In summer Dungannon gets around 17h 15m of daylight, but early deliveries still beat the traffic and give the longest working day.

Sizing your order

Skimming 50 m² of walls and ceilings at about 2 mm takes around 5 bags of 25 kg finishing plaster, plus angle beads for external corners. Coverage varies with the background, so allow a spare bag.
