Delivering planed timber in Gosport

Finished timber is protected and handled with care; tell us if it needs to go inside out of the weather. Gosport is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• Clear a level area for pallets, ideally on boards, so materials stay out of standing water.
• Mention any overhead cables, low branches or narrow gateways, because they decide whether a crane offload is possible.
• With roughly 7h 57m of daylight in Gosport around the shortest day, morning deliveries leave more working light for the job.

Estimating your planed timber

A 3 × 4.6 m room with one door has about 14.4 m of wall to skirt. With 10% for joints and offcuts that is 15.8 m, or 4 lengths of 4.2 m skirting, plus architrave for each side of the door.

Picking the right product

Matching old profiles

Bring an offcut or a clear profile photo with measurements and we will look for the closest current profile.

Nominal versus finished size

Planing takes material off, so a timber sold as 'nominal' 2 × 4 finishes smaller. Always check finished sizes when you need an exact fit.

Planed Timber & Mouldings questions

Can you match an old skirting profile?

We can look for the closest current profile. Exact matches for old or bespoke profiles may need machining to order.

Can you deliver planed timber to a site with restricted access in Gosport?

Usually, yes. Tell us about the access when you ask for a price and we will plan the vehicle and offload, or say if a smaller vehicle is needed.

Is there a minimum order for delivery to Gosport?

There is no fixed minimum. For very small orders we will tell you honestly if the delivery cost outweighs the materials, so you can decide.

Do you sell MDF skirting?

Yes, primed MDF skirting and architrave in common profiles, alongside softwood.
