Cutting MDF safely

MDF dust is fine; cut with extraction and wear suitable respiratory protection.

OSB or plywood?

OSB3 is usually cheaper and fine for most structural decking in humid conditions. Plywood is stiffer, takes fixings near edges better and performs better where it may get wet.

How delivery works in Whitehaven

Sheets come in packs on the lorry bed, crane-lifted or hand-offloaded. Whitehaven is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.
• If the site is up a shared drive or behind other houses, tell us the distance from the road.
• Deliveries are to the kerb, drive or within crane reach; ask if materials need to go further.
