Which flooring?

P5 chipboard flooring is the standard moisture-resistant floor deck. 18 mm is common at 400 mm joist centres and 22 mm at 600 mm centres, but follow the maker's span table.

Cutting MDF safely

MDF dust is fine; cut with extraction and wear suitable respiratory protection.

A quick quantity check

Decking 8 m² with 2440 × 1220 mm sheets takes 3 sheets including 10% for cutting. In P5 chipboard flooring (2400 × 600 mm) the same floor takes 7 boards.

Getting OSB, MDF and chipboard onto your Heswall site

Sheets come in packs on the lorry bed, crane-lifted or hand-offloaded. Heswall is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• On busy streets in Heswall, a parking suspension or a quiet time slot can make offloading safer, so tell us about local restrictions you know of.
• If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.
• For a phased build we can split the order so materials arrive as each stage starts, which keeps the site clear.
