Damp Proofing & Membranes for Heanor, delivered to site
Damp proofing materials stop moisture rising or passing through a building: a damp-proof course (DPC) in the walls and a damp-proof membrane (DPM) under the floor.
From DE75 to DE5, we price damp proofing delivered to Heanor and confirm the drop point and date when you order.

Delivery to Heanor: what helps
Rolls are light enough to travel with a mixed load and are handed off at the kerb. Heanor is inside our standard mainland delivery area.
- If the site is up a shared drive or behind other houses, tell us the distance from the road.
- If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.
- Weight limits on bridges or private roads near the site matter for larger lorries, so mention any you know of.
Quantities: a worked example
An extension in Heanor with 28 m of cavity wall needs DPC in both leaves: about 3 rolls in 30 m lengths once laps are allowed for. A 25 m² floor slab needs about 28.7 m² of DPM including laps, which is 1 roll of 4 × 25 m sheeting.

Is radon protection needed?
Parts of the UK need radon protection in new buildings and extensions. UKHSA radon maps show the areas; building control will tell you what applies.
DPC width
Match the DPC width to the wall leaf so it runs the full width of the masonry.
In England, building work is checked against the Approved Documents, for example Part A for structure and Part L for energy efficiency, through your council's building control team or a registered building control approver.
Your questions answered
Can I add other materials to my Heanor delivery?
Yes. Put everything on one list, from damp proofing to fixings and PPE, and we will price it as one delivery where the products can travel together.
Where does the DPC go?
Usually at least 150 mm above outside ground level, linked to the floor DPM.
How soon can damp proofing be delivered in Heanor?
We confirm the delivery date when we price your order, before you commit. It depends on the product, the quantity and whether it is a stock line or made to order.
How thick should a DPM be?
1200-gauge polythene, around 300 microns, is a common specification for floor slabs. Your design may call for something different.
