Planning the drop in Falkirk

Bags come on a pallet or with a mixed load. Falkirk is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• If the site is up a shared drive or behind other houses, tell us the distance from the road.
• If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.
• Clear a level area for pallets, ideally on boards, so materials stay out of standing water.

Working out quantities for your Falkirk job

Setting 12 fence posts in Falkirk usually takes 12 to 24 bags of 20 kg post mix, depending on the hole size printed on the bag. For a base bigger than about half a cubic metre, all-in ballast and cement are usually better value. Compare with site-mixed concrete

Picking the right product

Bagged or site-mixed?

Bagged mixes cost more per cubic metre but save time, waste and space. For anything bigger than a small pad, site-mixed or ready-mixed concrete is usually better value.

Check the yield

Each bag states the volume it makes. Divide your volume by the yield to get the number of bags.
