Delivery to Powys: what helps
Blocks are banded on pallets and usually crane-offloaded where the vehicle and access allow; tell us the weight limit of any drive or the ground where pallets will sit. Our standard mainland delivery area covers Powys.
- Keep cement, plaster and boards dry: have a tarpaulin or a garage space ready before they arrive.
- For a phased build we can split the order so materials arrive as each stage starts, which keeps the site clear.
- If the site is up a shared drive or behind other houses, tell us the distance from the road.
Picking the right product
What strength do I need?
Most houses use 3.6 N/mm² or 7.3 N/mm² blocks. Your structural design, your building control officer or the block manufacturer's guidance sets the grade; tell us what is specified and we will match it.
Thickness
100 mm is the common inner-leaf thickness. Wider blocks (140, 190, 215 mm) are used for separating walls, single-skin garage walls and foundations.
Wales has its own Approved Documents, including its own Part L for energy efficiency, and building control is handled by the local authority or a registered approver.
