Concrete & Aircrete Blocks delivery in Worcestershire

Concrete blocks are large masonry units, normally 440 × 215 mm on face, that lay at about 10 blocks per square metre; they come as dense aggregate, lightweight aggregate or aircrete (aerated) blocks.

Builders, trades and self-builders in Worcestershire can order concrete blocks for delivery to Worcester, Stourport-on-Severn and the towns in between.

Delivery to Worcestershire: what helps

Blocks are banded on pallets and usually crane-offloaded where the vehicle and access allow; tell us the weight limit of any drive or the ground where pallets will sit. Our standard mainland delivery area covers Worcestershire.

  • If neighbours share the access, it helps to let them know a lorry is coming.
  • If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.
  • Have someone on site for the delivery if you can, or agree a safe drop point with us in advance.

Thickness

100 mm is the common inner-leaf thickness. Wider blocks (140, 190, 215 mm) are used for separating walls, single-skin garage walls and foundations.

Dense or aircrete?

Dense blocks are strong and good for sound separation but heavy; a 100 mm dense block can weigh around 20 kg. Aircrete blocks are much lighter and insulate better, which helps with energy targets, but need the right fixings.

In England, building work is checked against the Approved Documents, for example Part A for structure and Part L for energy efficiency, through your council's building control team or a registered building control approver.

Questions about concrete blocks delivery in Worcestershire

How many blocks on a pallet?

It varies with the block size and maker. We confirm the pallet quantity with your price.

Are aircrete blocks strong enough for an extension?

Many aircrete blocks are designed for loadbearing walls, but grades differ. Check the strength your design calls for and the manufacturer's guidance on use below DPC.

Can you deliver concrete blocks to a site with restricted access in Worcestershire?

Usually, yes. Tell us about the access when you ask for a price and we will plan the vehicle and offload, or say if a smaller vehicle is needed.

Do you deliver concrete blocks to trades and homeowners in Worcestershire?

Both. Trades can apply for a trade account; homeowners and self-builders can order on a delivered quote.
