Concrete & Aircrete Blocks delivered across Lanarkshire

Concrete blocks are large masonry units, normally 440 × 215 mm on face, that lay at about 10 blocks per square metre; they come as dense aggregate, lightweight aggregate or aircrete (aerated) blocks.

Builders, trades and self-builders in Lanarkshire can order concrete blocks for delivery to East Kilbride, Wishaw and the towns in between.

Delivery to Lanarkshire: what helps

Blocks are banded on pallets and usually crane-offloaded where the vehicle and access allow; tell us the weight limit of any drive or the ground where pallets will sit. Our standard mainland delivery area covers Lanarkshire.

  • Pallets left on a pavement can block the footway, so plan a drop point inside your boundary where you can.
  • Have someone on site for the delivery if you can, or agree a safe drop point with us in advance.
  • Give us the full postcode for the drop point; deliveries around G are priced to the exact address.

Things to check before you order

What strength do I need?

Most houses use 3.6 N/mm² or 7.3 N/mm² blocks. Your structural design, your building standards surveyor or the block manufacturer's guidance sets the grade; tell us what is specified and we will match it.

Dense or aircrete?

Dense blocks are strong and good for sound separation but heavy; a 100 mm dense block can weigh around 20 kg. Aircrete blocks are much lighter and insulate better, which helps with energy targets, but need the right fixings.

In Scotland most building work needs a building warrant from the local authority, assessed against the Building Standards Technical Handbooks.

Concrete & Aircrete Blocks questions

Do you deliver concrete blocks to trades and homeowners in Lanarkshire?

Both. Trades can apply for a trade account; homeowners and self-builders can order on a delivered quote.

Can I use blocks in the foundations?

Yes, using blocks made for below ground, often trench blocks or dense blocks of the specified strength. The council's building standards service will check foundation design.

How many blocks on a pallet?

It varies with the block size and maker. We confirm the pallet quantity with your price.

Can I add other materials to my Lanarkshire delivery?

Yes. Put everything on one list, from concrete blocks to fixings and PPE, and we will price it as one delivery where the products can travel together.
