If the wall carries load it needs graded timber to a design. Plain CLS is not automatically structural.

Which size?

38 × 63 mm suits most partitions up to standard ceiling heights. 38 × 89 mm gives stiffer, taller walls and more room for insulation.

How delivery works in Holywood

CLS travels in bundles alongside plasterboard and is easy to hand off at the kerb. Deliveries to Northern Ireland include a sea crossing, so we quote each order individually.

• If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.
• For a phased build we can split the order so materials arrive as each stage starts, which keeps the site clear.
• Clear a level area for pallets, ideally on boards, so materials stay out of standing water.

A 4.2 m partition 2.4 m high at 400 mm centres takes 12 CLS studs, 8.4 m of head and sole plate and a row of noggins, then boarding on both sides. Work out the boards too
