Things to check before you order

Stud spacing

Studs are usually set at 400 mm or 600 mm centres to suit 1200 mm wide plasterboard.

Loadbearing walls

If the wall carries load it needs graded timber to a design. Plain CLS is not automatically structural.

Planning the drop in Banbury

CLS travels in bundles alongside plasterboard and is easy to hand off at the kerb. Banbury is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

  • Pallets left on a pavement can block the footway, so plan a drop point inside your boundary where you can.
  • Deliveries are to the kerb, drive or within crane reach; ask if materials need to go further.
  • If the site is up a shared drive or behind other houses, tell us the distance from the road.

Questions about CLS timber delivery in Banbury

Is CLS timber treated?

CLS is kiln dried rather than treated as standard, because it is meant for dry internal use. Treated CLS is available if you need it.

What is the difference between CLS and planed timber?

CLS has rounded edges and is sized for studwork; planed all round timber has square edges and comes in many more sizes for joinery and trim.

Can I add other materials to my Banbury delivery?

Yes. Put everything on one list, from CLS timber to fixings and PPE, and we will price it as one delivery where the products can travel together.

Do you deliver CLS timber to trades and homeowners in Banbury?

Both. Trades can apply for a trade account; homeowners and self-builders can order on a delivered quote.
