  • Concrete bricksConsistent concrete units in standard and coloured finishes, useful for below-ground work.

Before your Hamilton delivery arrives

Bricks come in strapped packs, usually on a pallet, and are lifted off by a lorry-mounted crane where the drop point allows. Hamilton is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

  • Pallets left on a pavement can block the footway, so plan a drop point inside your boundary where you can.
  • Tell us the best drop point, such as a driveway, front garden or the kerb, and whether a lorry can park close to it.
  • If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.

Bricks: choosing well

Matching an existing house

Bring us the brick name if you know it, or a clear photo of a cleaned face in daylight with a tape measure for scale. Size matters as much as colour: older imperial bricks are often slightly larger than 65 mm.

Is the wall exposed?

For walls that will get very wet and freeze, such as parapets, copings, below DPC or free-standing garden walls, use a clay brick declared F2 (freeze-thaw resistant) and S2 (low soluble salts).

In Scotland most building work needs a building warrant from the local authority, assessed against the Building Standards Technical Handbooks.

Sizing your order

Take a garden wall in Hamilton 5 m long and 2.1 m high: 10.5 m². At 60 bricks per square metre plus 5% for cuts that is 662 bricks, roughly 2 packs of 500 depending on the maker, laid in about 0.62 tonnes of building sand and 6 bags of cement at a 1:4 mix. Try the brick calculator

Bricks in Hamilton: questions

How soon can bricks be delivered in Hamilton?

We confirm the delivery date when we price your order, before you commit. It depends on the product, the quantity and whether it is a stock line or made to order.

Can I add other materials to my Hamilton delivery?

Yes. Put everything on one list, from bricks to fixings and PPE, and we will price it as one delivery where the products can travel together.

Do you sell bricks in small quantities?

We price whole packs as standard because that is how bricks leave the works. For small repairs ask anyway: we will tell you honestly whether part packs are possible for the brick you need.

Can you match my existing bricks?

Often, yes. Send the brick name if you have it, or a daylight photo of a clean face with a tape measure for scale. We will look for the nearest match in current ranges and can usually arrange a sample before you commit to a full order.
