How delivery works in Hampshire
Bulk bags are usually lifted off by crane where access allows; tell us where they can sit and whether the ground is firm. Our standard mainland delivery area covers Hampshire.
- Tell us the best drop point, such as a driveway, front garden or the kerb, and whether a lorry can park close to it.
- For a phased build we can split the order so materials arrive as each stage starts, which keeps the site clear.
- Mention any overhead cables, low branches or narrow gateways, because they decide whether a crane offload is possible.
Getting the right ballast and gravel
Gravel size
20 mm gravel suits concrete and drainage layers; 10 mm and pea gravel suit bedding pipes and paths.
Decorative areas
Lay decorative gravel over a weed membrane and a firm base so it does not sink.
