Fire-stopping

Which sealant where?

Use sanitary silicone in wet areas, low-modulus sealant around frames that move, and paintable caulk on trims to be decorated.

Delivery to Wakefield: what helps

Boxed with the rest of your order. Wakefield is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• Clear a level area for pallets, ideally on boards, so materials stay out of standing water.
• Have someone on site for the delivery if you can, or agree a safe drop point with us in advance.
• With roughly 7h 26m of daylight in Wakefield around the shortest day, morning deliveries leave more working light for the job.

Quantities: a worked example

Sealing round 5 windows of about 1.2 × 1.2 m is roughly 24 m of joint. A 310 ml cartridge runs about 3 m of a 10 × 10 mm bead, so allow 8 cartridges of frame sealant.

Usually skins in minutes and cures over a day or more, depending on thickness and temperature. Check the cartridge.

Is there a minimum order for delivery to Wakefield?

There is no fixed minimum. For very small orders we will tell you honestly if the delivery cost outweighs the materials, so you can decide.

How soon can adhesives and sealants be delivered in Wakefield?

We confirm the delivery date when we price your order, before you commit. It depends on the product, the quantity and whether it is a stock line or made to order.
