Before your Inverness delivery arrives

Boxed with the rest of your order. Inverness is in an area where deliveries are priced individually because of the distance and access, so we quote each order separately.

• If neighbours share the access, it helps to let them know a lorry is coming.
• Keep cement, plaster and boards dry: have a tarpaulin or a garage space ready before they arrive.
• On busy streets in Inverness, a parking suspension or a quiet time slot can make offloading safer, so tell us about local restrictions you know of.

Getting the right adhesives and sealants

Fire-stopping

Ordinary foam is not a fire stop. Where a fire seal is required use a tested fire-rated product and install it as tested.

Which sealant where?

Use sanitary silicone in wet areas, low-modulus sealant around frames that move, and paintable caulk on trims to be decorated.

How much will you need?

Sealing round 5 windows of about 1.2 × 1.2 m is roughly 24 m of joint. A 310 ml cartridge runs about 3 m of a 10 × 10 mm bead, so allow 8 cartridges of frame sealant.
