Planning the drop in Heston

Boxed with the rest of your order. Heston is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• On busy streets in Heston, a parking suspension or a quiet time slot can make offloading safer, so tell us about local restrictions you know of.
• Clear a level area for pallets, ideally on boards, so materials stay out of standing water.
• Mention any overhead cables, low branches or narrow gateways, because they decide whether a crane offload is possible.

Estimating your adhesives and sealants

Sealing round 5 windows of about 1.2 × 1.2 m is roughly 24 m of joint. A 310 ml cartridge runs about 3 m of a 10 × 10 mm bead, so allow 8 cartridges of frame sealant.

Picking the right product

Which sealant where?

Use sanitary silicone in wet areas, low-modulus sealant around frames that move, and paintable caulk on trims to be decorated.

Fire-stopping

Ordinary foam is not a fire stop. Where a fire seal is required use a tested fire-rated product and install it as tested.

Adhesives, Sealants & Foam questions
