How delivery works in Colchester

Boxed with the rest of your order. Colchester is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• For a phased build we can split the order so materials arrive as each stage starts, which keeps the site clear.
• Clear a level area for pallets, ideally on boards, so materials stay out of standing water.
• In summer Colchester gets around 16h 43m of daylight, but early deliveries still beat the traffic and give the longest working day.

Before you order adhesives and sealants

Fire-stopping

Ordinary foam is not a fire stop. Where a fire seal is required use a tested fire-rated product and install it as tested.

Ventilation

Some adhesives and foams give off fumes while curing; use them in a ventilated space.

How much will you need?

Sealing round 6 windows of about 1.2 × 1.2 m is roughly 28.8 m of joint. A 310 ml cartridge runs about 3 m of a 10 × 10 mm bead, so allow 10 cartridges of frame sealant.

Common questions from Colchester

What sealant for windows?

A low-modulus frame sealant that stays flexible as the frame moves.

Is there a minimum order for delivery to Colchester?

There is no fixed minimum. For very small orders we will tell you honestly if the delivery cost outweighs the materials, so you can decide.

Is expanding foam fire rated?

Only fire-rated foams that have been tested are. Standard foam is not a fire stop.

Can you deliver adhesives and sealants to a site with restricted access in Colchester?

Usually, yes. Tell us about the access when you ask for a price and we will plan the vehicle and offload, or say if a smaller vehicle is needed.
