Plywood: choosing well

Structural use

Roof decks and floors need plywood marked for structural use. Check the thickness against the joist spacing.

Thickness for floors

18 mm or more is common for floors on joists at 400 mm centres; follow your design.

Planning the drop in Shepherds Bush

Sheets travel flat on the lorry bed and are hand-offloaded or crane-lifted in packs. Shepherds Bush is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• For a phased build we can split the order so materials arrive as each stage starts, which keeps the site clear.
• If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.
• Tell us the best drop point, such as a driveway, front garden or the kerb, and whether a lorry can park close to it.
