Before your Oban delivery arrives

Sheets travel flat on the lorry bed and are hand-offloaded or crane-lifted in packs. Oban is in an area where deliveries are priced individually because of the distance and access, so we quote each order separately.

• If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.
• If the site is up a shared drive or behind other houses, tell us the distance from the road.
• In summer Oban gets around 17h 44m of daylight, but early deliveries still beat the traffic and give the longest working day.

Sizing your order

Decking 8 m² with 2440 × 1220 mm sheets takes 3 sheets including 10% for cutting.

Things to check before you order

Thickness for floors

18 mm or more is common for floors on joists at 400 mm centres; follow your design.

Interior or exterior?

BS EN 636 classes plywood as class 1 (dry), class 2 (humid) or class 3 (exterior). Use class 3 for anything exposed to the weather.

What plywood should I use outside?

Use plywood with an exterior bond, class 3 under BS EN 636, or marine ply for very wet conditions.

Can I add other materials to my Oban delivery?

Yes. Put everything on one list, from plywood to fixings and PPE, and we will price it as one delivery where the products can travel together.

Can you deliver plywood to a site with restricted access in Oban?

Usually, yes. Tell us about the access when you ask for a price and we will plan the vehicle and offload, or say if a smaller vehicle is needed.

Is shuttering ply suitable for building?

It is made for concrete formwork, not for permanent structural decks. Use structural ply for roofs and floors.
