Picking the right product

Structural use

Roof decks and floors need plywood marked for structural use. Check the thickness against the joist spacing.

Interior or exterior?

BS EN 636 classes plywood as class 1 (dry), class 2 (humid) or class 3 (exterior). Use class 3 for anything exposed to the weather.

How delivery works in Loughborough

Sheets travel flat on the lorry bed and are hand-offloaded or crane-lifted in packs. Loughborough is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• Clear a level area for pallets, ideally on boards, so materials stay out of standing water.
• In summer Loughborough gets around 16h 53m of daylight, but early deliveries still beat the traffic and give the longest working day.
• Deliveries are to the kerb, drive or within crane reach; ask if materials need to go further.

Plywood in Loughborough: questions

What plywood should I use outside?

Use plywood with an exterior bond, class 3 under BS EN 636, or marine ply for very wet conditions.

Can you deliver plywood to a site with restricted access in Loughborough?

Usually, yes. Tell us about the access when you ask for a price and we will plan the vehicle and offload, or say if a smaller vehicle is needed.

Do you deliver plywood to trades and homeowners in Loughborough?

Both. Trades can apply for a trade account; homeowners and self-builders can order on a delivered quote.

Is shuttering ply suitable for building?

It is made for concrete formwork, not for permanent structural decks. Use structural ply for roofs and floors.
