Before you order plywood

Interior or exterior?

BS EN 636 classes plywood as class 1 (dry), class 2 (humid) or class 3 (exterior). Use class 3 for anything exposed to the weather.

Structural use

Roof decks and floors need plywood marked for structural use. Check the thickness against the joist spacing.

Getting plywood onto your Grays site

Sheets travel flat on the lorry bed and are hand-offloaded or crane-lifted in packs. Grays is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• Clear a level area for pallets, ideally on boards, so materials stay out of standing water.
• If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.
• Keep cement, plaster and boards dry: have a tarpaulin or a garage space ready before they arrive.
