Roof decks and floors need plywood marked for structural use. Check the thickness against the joist spacing.

Thickness for floors

18 mm or more is common for floors on joists at 400 mm centres; follow your design.

Getting plywood onto your Birmingham site

Sheets travel flat on the lorry bed and are hand-offloaded or crane-lifted in packs. Birmingham is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• Tell us the best drop point, such as a driveway, front garden or the kerb, and whether a lorry can park close to it.
• Mention any overhead cables, low branches or narrow gateways, because they decide whether a crane offload is possible.
