Sizing your order

Skimming 25 m² of walls and ceilings at about 2 mm takes around 3 bags of 25 kg finishing plaster, plus angle beads for external corners. Coverage varies with the background, so allow a spare bag.

Things to check before you order

Fresh stock matters

Old plaster sets fast and unevenly. Order it close to when you need it and keep bags dry.

Finish coat

Board finish is made for plasterboard; multi-finish suits most undercoats and board.

Before your Frome delivery arrives

Bags come on a pallet or with a mixed load; keep them dry and off the floor. Frome is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• For a phased build we can split the order so materials arrive as each stage starts, which keeps the site clear.
• In summer Frome gets around 16h 35m of daylight, but early deliveries still beat the traffic and give the longest working day.
• If neighbours share the access, it helps to let them know a lorry is coming.

Hardwall is the usual choice for high-suction backgrounds like brick and blockwork.
