Things to check before you order

Matching old profiles

Bring an offcut or a clear profile photo with measurements and we will look for the closest current profile.

Softwood or MDF trim?

MDF skirting and architrave is very straight and paints well; softwood takes knocks better and can be stained.

Getting planed timber onto your Lincoln site

Finished timber is protected and handled with care; tell us if it needs to go inside out of the weather. Lincoln is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• Tell us the best drop point, such as a driveway, front garden or the kerb, and whether a lorry can park close to it.
• If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.
• In summer Lincoln gets around 16h 59m of daylight, but early deliveries still beat the traffic and give the longest working day.

Working out quantities for your Lincoln job

A 3.4 × 3.6 m room with one door has about 13.2 m of wall to skirt. With 10% for joints and offcuts that is 14.5 m, or 4 lengths of 4.2 m skirting, plus architrave for each side of the door.
