Picking the right product

Softwood or MDF trim?

MDF skirting and architrave is very straight and paints well; softwood takes knocks better and can be stained.

Matching old profiles

Bring an offcut or a clear profile photo with measurements and we will look for the closest current profile.

How delivery works in Keighley

Finished timber is protected and handled with care; tell us if it needs to go inside out of the weather. Keighley is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• If the site is up a shared drive or behind other houses, tell us the distance from the road.
• In summer Keighley gets around 17h 07m of daylight, but early deliveries still beat the traffic and give the longest working day.
• Give us the full postcode for the drop point; deliveries around BD21 are priced to the exact address.

Quantities: a worked example

A 3.8 × 4 m room with one door has about 14.8 m of wall to skirt. With 10% for joints and offcuts that is 16.3 m, or 4 lengths of 4.2 m skirting, plus architrave for each side of the door.

Planed Timber & Mouldings in Keighley: questions

Do you sell MDF skirting?

Yes, primed MDF skirting and architrave in common profiles, alongside softwood.

Do you deliver planed timber to trades and homeowners in Keighley?

Both. Trades can apply for a trade account; homeowners and self-builders can order on a delivered quote.

How should I store planed timber?

Flat, off the ground and inside if possible, so it does not take on moisture and move before fitting.

Can I add other materials to my Keighley delivery?

Yes. Put everything on one list, from planed timber to fixings and PPE, and we will price it as one delivery where the products can travel together.
