A 3.8 × 3.2 m room with one door has about 13.2 m of wall to skirt. With 10% for joints and offcuts that is 14.5 m, or 4 lengths of 4.2 m skirting, plus architrave for each side of the door.

Getting planed timber onto your Aberdeen site

Finished timber is protected and handled with care; tell us if it needs to go inside out of the weather. Aberdeen is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• Tell us the best drop point, such as a driveway, front garden or the kerb, and whether a lorry can park close to it.
• Clear a level area for pallets, ideally on boards, so materials stay out of standing water.
• On busy streets in Aberdeen, a parking suspension or a quiet time slot can make offloading safer, so tell us about local restrictions you know of.

Getting the right planed timber

Matching old profiles

Bring an offcut or a clear profile photo with measurements and we will look for the closest current profile.

Softwood or MDF trim?

MDF skirting and architrave is very straight and paints well; softwood takes knocks better and can be stained.
