Picking the right product

Cutting MDF safely

MDF dust is fine; cut with extraction and wear suitable respiratory protection.

Which flooring?

P5 chipboard flooring is the standard moisture-resistant floor deck. 18 mm is common at 400 mm joist centres and 22 mm at 600 mm centres, but follow the maker's span table.

Delivery to Harlow: what helps

Sheets come in packs on the lorry bed, crane-lifted or hand-offloaded. Harlow is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• Give us the full postcode for the drop point; deliveries around CM17 are priced to the exact address.
• Keep cement, plaster and boards dry: have a tarpaulin or a garage space ready before they arrive.
• Pallets left on a pavement can block the footway, so plan a drop point inside your boundary where you can.

Working out quantities for your Harlow job

Decking 24 m² with 2440 × 1220 mm sheets takes 9 sheets including 10% for cutting. In P5 chipboard flooring (2400 × 600 mm) the same floor takes 19 boards.

Your questions answered

Is there a minimum order for delivery to Harlow?

There is no fixed minimum. For very small orders we will tell you honestly if the delivery cost outweighs the materials, so you can decide.

Can you deliver OSB, MDF and chipboard to a site with restricted access in Harlow?

Usually, yes. Tell us about the access when you ask for a price and we will plan the vehicle and offload, or say if a smaller vehicle is needed.

What is OSB3?

OSB3 is oriented strand board graded for load-bearing use in humid conditions under BS EN 300. It is the common grade for floors, roofs and sheathing.

Is MDF waterproof?

No. Moisture-resistant MDF handles humid rooms better than standard MDF but must still be sealed and kept out of direct water.
