Steel & Concrete Lintels for Paisley, delivered to site
A lintel is a beam that carries the masonry over a door or window opening; most UK houses use galvanised steel cavity lintels or prestressed concrete lintels.
SK Trade prices lintels delivered to Paisley and the rest of Renfrewshire and Inverclyde, so the cost and the delivery date are agreed before anything is loaded.

A quick quantity check
For a 1,200 mm clear opening, add at least 150 mm of bearing at each end: the lintel needs to be at least 1,500 mm long. Then pick the type for the wall build-up and check the load in the manufacturer's table, or ask your engineer if the opening carries a floor or roof.
Things to check before you order
Steel or concrete?
Steel cavity lintels support both leaves and include insulation to limit cold bridging. Concrete lintels are simple and robust for single leaves and internal walls.
Do I need a cavity tray?
Over openings in cavity walls, water in the cavity has to be directed outwards. Many steel lintels need a separate cavity tray and stop ends; check the lintel maker's detail.
In Scotland most building work needs a building warrant from the local authority, assessed against the Building Standards Technical Handbooks.
Delivery to Paisley: what helps
Lintels are long, so tell us about tight access. Shorter lintels can travel with a mixed load; long steel lintels are handled by hand or crane. Paisley is inside our standard mainland delivery area.
- For a phased build we can split the order so materials arrive as each stage starts, which keeps the site clear.
- On busy streets in Paisley, a parking suspension or a quiet time slot can make offloading safer, so tell us about local restrictions you know of.
- Mention any overhead cables, low branches or narrow gateways, because they decide whether a crane offload is possible.
Ordering lintels for Paisley: FAQs
Are steel lintels insulated?
Cavity wall steel lintels usually have insulation inside to cut heat loss at the opening. Single-leaf and box lintels may not.
Is there a minimum order for delivery to Paisley?
There is no fixed minimum. For very small orders we will tell you honestly if the delivery cost outweighs the materials, so you can decide.
Can lintels be delivered with my blocks?
Yes. We combine them on one lorry where the lengths and the route allow.
Can I add other materials to my Paisley delivery?
Yes. Put everything on one list, from lintels to fixings and PPE, and we will price it as one delivery where the products can travel together.
