Getting cement onto your Caerphilly site

Bags come on a shrink-wrapped pallet or as part of a mixed load; keep them covered once dropped. Caerphilly is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.
• Weight limits on bridges or private roads near the site matter for larger lorries, so mention any you know of.
• Mention any overhead cables, low branches or narrow gateways, because they decide whether a crane offload is possible.

Things to check before you order

Working in cold weather

Mortar and concrete should not be laid when temperatures are near freezing. Protect fresh work from frost.

Storage

Cement goes off if it gets damp. Keep bags on a pallet, covered and off the ground, and order what you will use within its shelf life.
