Before you order bricks

Colour consistency

Order everything for one job at the same time so the bricks come from the same production run, then mix from three or four packs as you lay to blend any variation.

Matching an existing house

Bring us the brick name if you know it, or a clear photo of a cleaned face in daylight with a tape measure for scale. Size matters as much as colour: older imperial bricks are often slightly larger than 65 mm.

In England, building work is checked against the Approved Documents, for example Part A for structure and Part L for energy efficiency, through your council's building control team or a registered building control approver.

Before your Skegness delivery arrives

Bricks come in strapped packs, usually on a pallet, and are lifted off by a lorry-mounted crane where the drop point allows. Skegness is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

  • If neighbours share the access, it helps to let them know a lorry is coming.
  • Give us the full postcode for the drop point; deliveries around PE25 are priced to the exact address.
  • In summer Skegness gets around 16h 58m of daylight, but early deliveries still beat the traffic and give the longest working day.

Bricks questions

How many bricks are in a square metre?

With standard 215 × 65 mm bricks and 10 mm mortar joints you need about 60 bricks per square metre for a single-skin (half-brick) wall and about 120 for a one-brick-thick wall. Add around 5 percent for cuts and breakages.

Do you deliver bricks to trades and homeowners in Skegness?

Both. Trades can apply for a trade account; homeowners and self-builders can order on a delivered quote.

How are bricks delivered?

In strapped packs on a flatbed lorry, normally unloaded by the lorry's crane. Tell us where the packs can go and whether there are overhead cables, low branches or soft ground.

Can I add other materials to my Skegness delivery?

Yes. Put everything on one list, from bricks to fixings and PPE, and we will price it as one delivery where the products can travel together.
