Before your Lisburn delivery arrives

Bricks come in strapped packs, usually on a pallet, and are lifted off by a lorry-mounted crane where the drop point allows. Deliveries to Northern Ireland include a sea crossing, so we quote each order individually.

  • In summer Lisburn gets around 17h 16m of daylight, but early deliveries still beat the traffic and give the longest working day.
  • If the drop point is block paving or soft ground, say so; heavy pallets and bulk bags can mark or sink.
  • Deliveries are to the kerb, drive or within crane reach; ask if materials need to go further.

Sizing your order

Take a garden wall in Lisburn 10 m long and 1.5 m high: 15 m². At 60 bricks per square metre plus 5% for cuts that is 945 bricks, roughly 2 packs of 500 depending on the maker, laid in about 0.88 tonnes of building sand and 8 bags of cement at a 1:4 mix. Try the brick calculator

Getting the right bricks

Is the wall exposed?

For walls that will get very wet and freeze, such as parapets, copings, below DPC or free-standing garden walls, use a clay brick declared F2 (freeze-thaw resistant) and S2 (low soluble salts).

Matching an existing house

Bring us the brick name if you know it, or a clear photo of a cleaned face in daylight with a tape measure for scale. Size matters as much as colour: older imperial bricks are often slightly larger than 65 mm.

In Northern Ireland building work follows the Building Regulations (Northern Ireland), with guidance in the Technical Booklets, and applications go to the council's building control team.

Your questions answered

How are bricks delivered?

In strapped packs on a flatbed lorry, normally unloaded by the lorry's crane. Tell us where the packs can go and whether there are overhead cables, low branches or soft ground.

Do you sell bricks in small quantities?

We price whole packs as standard because that is how bricks leave the works. For small repairs ask anyway: we will tell you honestly whether part packs are possible for the brick you need.

How soon can bricks be delivered in Lisburn?

We confirm the delivery date when we price your order, before you commit. It depends on the product, the quantity and whether it is a stock line or made to order.

Do you deliver bricks to trades and homeowners in Lisburn?

Both. Trades can apply for a trade account; homeowners and self-builders can order on a delivered quote.
