Delivery to Exeter: what helps
Bulk bags are usually lifted off by crane where access allows; tell us where they can sit and whether the ground is firm. Exeter is inside our standard mainland delivery area.
- Pallets left on a pavement can block the footway, so plan a drop point inside your boundary where you can.
- For a phased build we can split the order so materials arrive as each stage starts, which keeps the site clear.
- Tell us the best drop point, such as a driveway, front garden or the kerb, and whether a lorry can park close to it.
Ballast & Gravel questions
What is all-in ballast?
A mix of sharp sand and gravel up to 20 mm, ready to combine with cement for concrete.
Can I add other materials to my Exeter delivery?
Yes. Put everything on one list, from ballast and gravel to fixings and PPE, and we will price it as one delivery where the products can travel together.
How much gravel do I need for a path?
Multiply the area by the depth (often 40 to 50 mm for decorative gravel) to get cubic metres, then allow about 1.5 tonnes per cubic metre.
Do you deliver ballast and gravel to trades and homeowners in Exeter?
Both. Trades can apply for a trade account; homeowners and self-builders can order on a delivered quote.
