Delivering ballast and gravel in Cheshire
Bulk bags are usually lifted off by crane where access allows; tell us where they can sit and whether the ground is firm. Our standard mainland delivery area covers Cheshire.
- Clear a level area for pallets, ideally on boards, so materials stay out of standing water.
- Pallets left on a pavement can block the footway, so plan a drop point inside your boundary where you can.
- Have someone on site for the delivery if you can, or agree a safe drop point with us in advance.
Picking the right product
Decorative areas
Lay decorative gravel over a weed membrane and a firm base so it does not sink.
Ballast or separate sand and gravel?
All-in ballast is convenient for general concrete. For more control over the mix, use separate sharp sand and gravel.
Your questions answered
What gravel do I bed drainage pipes in?
Pea gravel or a similar clean single-size gravel is commonly used around underground pipes.
Can I add other materials to my Cheshire delivery?
Yes. Put everything on one list, from ballast and gravel to fixings and PPE, and we will price it as one delivery where the products can travel together.
Do you deliver ballast and gravel to trades and homeowners in Cheshire?
Both. Trades can apply for a trade account; homeowners and self-builders can order on a delivered quote.
