Before your Cardiff delivery arrives

Bulk bags are usually lifted off by crane where access allows; tell us where they can sit and whether the ground is firm. Cardiff is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

  • Clear a level area for pallets, ideally on boards, so materials stay out of standing water.
  • Have someone on site for the delivery if you can, or agree a safe drop point with us in advance.
  • On busy streets in Cardiff, a parking suspension or a quiet time slot can make offloading safer, so tell us about local restrictions you know of.

Choosing ballast and gravel

Gravel size

20 mm gravel suits concrete and drainage layers; 10 mm and pea gravel suit bedding pipes and paths.

Decorative areas

Lay decorative gravel over a weed membrane and a firm base so it does not sink.
