Getting ballast and gravel onto your Bow site

Bulk bags are usually lifted off by crane where access allows; tell us where they can sit and whether the ground is firm. Bow is inside our standard mainland delivery area.

• Keep cement, plaster and boards dry: have a tarpaulin or a garage space ready before they arrive.
• For a phased build we can split the order so materials arrive as each stage starts, which keeps the site clear.
• Tell us the best drop point, such as a driveway, front garden or the kerb, and whether a lorry can park close to it.

All-in ballast is convenient for general concrete. For more control over the mix, use separate sharp sand and gravel.

Yes. Put everything on one list, from ballast and gravel to fixings and PPE, and we will price it as one delivery where the products can travel together.

How soon can ballast and gravel be delivered in Bow?

We confirm the delivery date when we price your order, before you commit. It depends on the product, the quantity and whether it is a stock line or made to order.

What gravel do I bed drainage pipes in?

Pea gravel or a similar clean single-size gravel is commonly used around underground pipes.

Do you deliver ballast in bags?

Yes, bulk bags for most jobs and small bags for small quantities or tight access.
